Getting Back Links to Your Web Site

Without links pointing to your web site or blog nobody will know that you exist. You need inbound links to receive visitors and rankings in the search engines.

There are several ways to get links. Here are a few:

Writing and submitting articles. You can write articles and submit them to article directories and other web sites with a link back to your web site. The more you do this the more results you will see. It does take some time but could be worth the effort.

Posting in forums is another way to get back links. You would put your website URL into your signature. If you post on several forums this could really add up.

Posting comments on other’s blogs may help, but with the no follow tag it may not be worth it.

Submitting to web site directories is another solid way to improve your search engine rankings. This can be tedious, but there are programs that can automate this for you.

If you have several web sites or blogs then you could put a link in a post back to one of your sites.
