In fact, my husband recently left his job, so at this point, my writing is the sole thing keeping us in food, diapers and internet! The other big benefit of freelance writing is the flexibility. You can write at 3 am if you like. No one cares when you get the work done, so long as you meet your deadlines. This flexibility is what makes writing an excellent career for parents. They can watch the kids and still manage to work.

Things that took me years to learn could easily have been instant knowledge if I’d only had a mentor. You can earn a living with freelance writing. It won’t happen overnight, but with steady work and by providing excellent quality for your clients, you’ll get there.
