As a well known article marketer I have often looked for unique ways to promote my webpages and sites so I do not attract any duplicate content penalty or leave a footprint.
That is the secret to article marketing – “Do Not Leave A Footprint“.
If your submitting five or more articles a day to article directories and Web 2.0 sites, your sending a clear message to the search engine bot that something might not just be right as the articles all have the same date. The search bot will gather up each of your articles and compare them for uniqueness.
One way to avoid this, is to submit your articles to different sites, one day at a time.
Here is my example that works well for me. Take your article and submit it to an article directory. The next day build a Web 2.0 page around that article. The next day submit your article to another article directory changing the heading and a few paragraphs around.
Repeat this process and over a period of about two weeks you will have your articles drip fed into the article directories as well as building a few good solid Web 2.0 sites.
Right in the middle of all my efforts I write a press release. Basically, I take my article and write it like it is something I am reading in a newspaper. My favorite is to have a quote – such as – “Terry of Secretwitter has recommended this product for new online marketers as it will help them understand the ways of the internet”.
I have an example of my article spinning press release at PrLog – Article Spinning – Greatest Marketing Tool Ever where you will see the article itself including the quote and a link at the bottom of the press release.
The benefits of a press release is that the press site itself often has a high page rank meaning the search engine bots are scouring the website for new content all the time and will put a press release high in the search engine.
The secret to writing a good press release is to have a catching title that will attract the attention of searchers looking for information that you are providing. Just write your article as you normally would, check spelling and grammar, and leave a url link at the bottom of the release.
As you can see by mixing up your article marketing efforts and thinking outside the square, you will not be leaving any footprints that shows you follow a pattern in your article marketing efforts.
Terry owns Secretwitter a site that discusses article marketing techniques. Teryr is s prolific writer on Hubpages where he has been challenged to a Article Spinning – The Hubpage Challenge where he has set to disprove the arguments that article spinning is a waste of time.
